My name is Justin the Lover (a.k.a. Michael Jukeson) and I will be attempting to break the Guinness World Record for “longest dance marathon by an individual” on January 19th, 2019 at Chinatown Soup in New York City. The current official record is a mere 126 hrs and I plan to dance for 168 hrs (seven days). I have been training relentlessly to achieve this goal, e.g. dancing, running, meditation, yoga, cold exposure, sleep deprivation, weight training, fasting, and good ol’ fashioned determination. The attempt will be live-streamed at www.nomoresad.tv/live
The key purpose of this record attempt is to raise money for GiveWell's top-rated charities, 8 amazing organizations working to combat the symptoms and causes of extreme poverty around the globe. The fundraising goal I have set is $100,000. One of my goals in life is to prioritize the utility of my time and talents to make positive and lasting difference in the world and this record-breaking attempt is a testament to that goal. I wholeheartedly support GiveWell and it would mean the world to me if you’d made a donation or pledge! Let’s do this!
The following sponsors have provided products and/or services to aid in the completion of the new world record: Hoka, Nuun, Squirrel’s Nut Butter, Sunergos Coffee, Meteor Agency, Astro Nautico, and the Department of Love.
