2019 BV FOR ALZ Obstacle Challenge

Alzheimer’s disease is a degenerative brain disease and the most common form of dementia. Worldwide, 50 million people are living with Alzheimer’s and other dementias. While there is currently no cure for Alzheimer’s, with our help, maybe one day there will be!

My name is Joe Calderon, and I work for Belmont Village Senior Living. In an effort to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Association and the Houston Walk To End Alzheimer’s, Belmont Village has pledged to match (dollar for dollar) every dollar that I am able to raise. That is just amazing! Although I am not the type of person who likes to ask for donations, I most certainly do not have a problem with earning your donations. I have come up with the idea to team up with BCFitness (bcfitstatus.com) and set forth upon myself a series of 25 obstacles/challenges that will test my strength, grip, balance, agility, determination and will. We are calling this personal challenge the BV FOR ALZ OBSTACLE CHALLENGE. I am hoping that I can get your support in pledging a dollar amount per each obstacle that I complete on the day of the challenge (Oct 19th). Any amount that you are willing to pledge is tremendously appreciated! I am sure that BCFitness will be putting together a grueling list of obstacles/challenges, but as a 3-time American Ninja Warrior, I fully intend on completing each and every obstacle that is put in front of me.

As a bit of a thank you, I will be personally hosting each person/family that pledges a minimum of $10/obstacle completed for an afternoon of obstacle training!

In addition, the person/family who pledges the highest dollar amount per obstacle will receive an Extra Special afternoon of obstacle training…Ninja Warrior Style! I don’t want to give away to many details, but there will be some elite ninjas involved (whom you might recognize from this season of American Ninja Warrior).
