Proceeds benefit HEADstrong Foundation

My name is James Cipolla and I am a senior at Parkland High school.
When I was in 5th grade I found out my mom had been diagnosed with colon cancer. This was the worse news I have ever received in my entire life. Seeing the pain my mom had to go through every time she had chemo therapy was terrible. All I wanted was for her to be healthy. Luckily, after a year of chemo therapy my mom was cancer free and has been cancer free for over 6 years now.
My mom is a huge reason I was influenced to play lacrosse. She had a stick in my hand at the age of 5. Since that day I have continued to have a passion for lacrosse. Whenever, I needed to blow of steam or needed some time alone during my moms treatment I could always rely on lacrosse. Whether that be just going outside and hitting the wall and shooting some shots or going to practice and having all my teammates there supporting my mom, my family, and I.
This is why I will be participating in the 2019 Go Lime For Cancer Challenge. I will be working and playing hard to record as many points as I can this season to raise support for the HEADstrong Foundation! You can pledge a donation for every point I record, or make a one-time flat donation. Follow my fundraising progress against other competitors on the leaderboard.
Proceeds raised will go to the HEADstrong Foundation, which is a charitable 501c3 committed to improving the quality of life for those affected by cancer.
The mission of the HEADstrong Foundation is to be relentless in improving the quality of life for those affected by cancer. The HEADstrong Foundation is fulfilling the vision of the late Nicholas Colleluori, our founder. Nick’s last wish was that others would benefit from his journey.
Thank you for your support and generosity!
